Thundering Mantis | Selecta Drift | Analog Dub | Slow Dub | Roots Dub | Deep Dub | Dub Playlist

Twelve tracks. One pulse. No rush. Selecta Drift is a journey into the slowest corners of dub. Across twelve deeply atmospheric tracks, Thundering Mantis strips the music back to its foundations: bass, drums, space and time. The tempos crawl. The bass breathes. Spring reverbs open into huge empty rooms, tape echoes drift away into darkness, and instruments appear only long enough to leave their shadow behind. This is dub built around restraint rather than impact. Warm bass, dusty one-drop rhythms, Nyabinghi percussion, melodica, organ, analogue sirens, brass, unconventional acoustic textures and long decaying echoes move through a deliberately spacious mix. Drop-outs leave almost nothing behind except rhythm and air. Echo throws become part of the composition. Silence becomes an instrument. The sound draws deeply from the tradition of Jamaican dub and sound-system culture, while taking it somewhere slower, darker and more meditative. Instead of chasing the next drop, Selecta Drift stays inside the groove. There is no hurry here. At tempos between 45 and 56 BPM, these twelve pieces move with their own sense of gravity. Some feel almost suspended in time. Others seem to emerge from fog, rain, empty rooms or distant speaker stacks. But they all share the same philosophy: Let the bass breathe. Let the echo travel. Leave space between the notes. Selecta Drift is music for late nights, headphones, deep listening and massive speakers. A deliberately slow-moving analogue dub experience where atmosphere matters as much as rhythm. Turn it up. Slow it down. Let it drift.
