Thank you for watching! Following the viral Myaku-Myaku octopus bento, famous Japanese train station bento (Ekiben) maker Awajiya has released another incredibly unique creation! Today, I tried the "Manhole Bento" (1,280 JPY), which comes with an authentic, heavy ceramic manhole cover as a lid! 🍱✨ According to the bento maker, "Manhole covers across Japan feature the distinct history, culture, and landscapes of each region. Similarly, Ekiben represent local food culture and showcase regional charm." Inspired by this shared concept of celebrating local heritage, they created this one-of-a-kind bento. This first edition features the artistic manhole design of Amagasaki City in Hyogo Prefecture, depicting its official oleander flowers and fireflies. Inside is a local soul food: Amagasaki Ankake Champon noodles 🥢 The thick, savory-sweet broth clings wonderfully to the chewy noodles, making it surprisingly hearty and satisfying. Best of all, the ceramic manhole lid is a perfect fit for the ceramic octopus pots used in Awajiya's famous Hipparidako Meshi! I tried placing the manhole cover on top of my commemorative Myaku-Myaku octopus pot, creating a delightfully quirky display piece 🐙✨ ▼ Watch my previous video on the Myaku-Myaku Octopus Pot Bento: 🐙✨    • Myaku-Myaku Expo 2025 Octopus Pot Bento Ek...   Chapters: 0:00 Unboxing the Manhole Cover Ekiben 📦 1:31 Tasting the Amagasaki Ankake Champon noodles! 🥢😋 2:44 Placing the manhole lid on the Myaku-Myaku octopus pot! 🐙🕳️ Do you have special travel lunchboxes (like train bento) or regional specialty foods in your country?
