This scenic train ride is typically considered among the best of Amtrak trains, and some people consider it the best option for an Amtrak fall colors train. We had an Amtrak roomette on the California Zephyr. Amtrak ran a great special so we were able to take this dream trip. We loved riding on Amtrak. Glenwood Canyon was probably the highlight for us, as the scenery was incredible. Amtrak vacations are a great way to spend your time off and we highly recommend the California Zephyr.
