When You Cannot See the Way Ahead, Ask God for the Next Step | Morning Prayer

When you cannot see the way ahead, you do not need to carry the weight of your entire future. God may not reveal the whole road today, but He can give you enough light, wisdom, and courage for the next faithful step. Begin your day with this powerful morning prayer for anyone facing uncertainty, a difficult decision, a closed door, or a season of waiting. Surrender your need to control every outcome, ask God for discernment, and trust Him to guide your steps in your work, relationships, finances, family, and calling. Inspired by Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 3:5–6, and Israel’s crossing of the Jordan River in Joshua 3, this prayer reminds us that God’s Word is a lamp for our feet—not a floodlight revealing our entire future. Sometimes the way becomes visible only after we take the step God has already made clear. Share your prayer request below so our community can pray with you.
