Tomorrow the Company leaves Rivendell, and Aragorn has not tried to sleep. The sword the Elves reforged for him is leaning somewhere in the dark behind him; the book in his hands is older than anyone in this house except the Elves who wrote it. He is reading about Isildur again - the ancestor who stood inside Mount Doom with Elrond beside him, was told to end it, and didn't. Three thousand years later the same Ring is a few rooms away with a sleeping hobbit, and in the morning it walks out of this valley with him beside it. Rivendell at this hour asks nothing of anyone: no council, no singing from the Hall of Fire, only moonlight on the arches and the river going on below the way it has every night he has ever spent here. He was a boy in this house once, under another name. He turns another page and lets the water fill the silence. Whatever the road asks of him, tonight is still his. Tonight is yours too. Disclaimer: This is an unofficial fan-made ambience video inspired by The Lord of the Rings. I am not affiliated with Warner Bros., the Tolkien Estate, or any official rights holders. Music is original, visuals are fan art. If you enjoyed my Aragorn in Rivendell or Arwen Waits for Aragorn in Rivendell sessions, this is the night between them - his last one in the valley before the road, made for late reading and falling asleep. #LordOfTheRings #Aragorn #Rivendell #ReadingMusic #SleepMusic #AmbientMusic
