Hon. Nameere in Trouble: Asked to Apologize as Dr. Wakida Challenges “Harsh” Anti-Corruption Drive

A heated parliamentary debate over the methods being used in the fight against corruption as Dr. Wakida challenges State Minister Justine Nameere over what he described as the “harsh” treatment of a Budaka Hospital doctor and other officers. Dr. Wakida argued that publicly harassing and arresting a medical doctor in front of people they had been treating undermines the principles of governance and the rule of law. The debate has also raised calls for Hon. Nameere to apologize over the conduct of the operation.
