Dan Patch Electric Line Remnants – Minnesota River Southward

Most of the Dan Patch Electric Line is no longer in use. It has basically been left to nature since sometime in the late 1990s. Twin Cities residents used to ride the cars southward to visit Lake Marion and Antlers Park. A line that was originally built through farm fields, has now become the suburbs of Savage, Burnsville, and Lakeville. Despite the human encroachment, the roadbed and most of the rails through this area are still intact. Come along and see what I found as I explored the route from the Minnesota River to Northfield!
