Psalms 28 - To Thee I Cry, O Lord My Rock

Verse 1 To Thee I cry, O Lord my Rock, O be not deaf unto my plea; Lest, like the dead in silent clay, I find no hope, no life in Thee. Hear Thou the voice of my complaint, My lifted hands toward Thy holy place; With all the wicked do not deal, Who speak of peace but show disgrace. Chorus The Lord is my Strength and Shield, My heart has trusted in His Name; And I am helped, and I am healed, My soul shall praise, and not be shamed! Verse 2 Reward them, Lord, for their own deeds, Their wicked works and dark designs; For they regard not all Thy works, Nor see the glory of Thy signs. Tear them down, build them up no more, For in their pride they stand apart; But bless Thy people, Thine elect, The shepherd’s flock who know their heart.
