Have you ever wondered why some YouTube videos get thousands of views while others barely get noticed? Welcome to Part 1 of my five-part series, YouTube Is a Fishing Pond! I’m relatively new to YouTube, and one thing I’ve discovered is that we’re all fishing in the same enormous pond. The challenge is figuring out where the viewers who might enjoy our content are and how to reach them. I’ve had videos attract thousands of views, while others haven’t received nearly as much attention. Same creator, same camera, same channel, but completely different results! In this first episode, Finding Your Spot, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about discovering your audience, understanding what interests viewers, and why finding your place on YouTube takes a little patience and experimentation.
