🔗 Retire On $2,075 A Month — the nine-country manual with every number sourced and dated: https://moveabroadmanual.com The Safest Places to Retire in Colombia (Low Crime, No Hurricanes, Real Hospitals) The median rent in America is now $1,388 a month, and that is a big piece of a $2,000 Social Security check. This video ranks 10 Colombian towns and neighbourhoods on three things: low crime by Colombia’s own official figures, distance from the hurricane belt, and a proper hospital within about an hour. Sabaneta, just south of Medellín, went 449 days without a homicide, and two-bedrooms there start around $405. Tunja’s homicide rate sits close to the US national average of 4.1 per 100,000, and rents there average about $445. Every place on the list is in the Andes, far south and inland of the Atlantic hurricane track. Before you comment: the US State Department rates Colombia as a whole at Level 3, reconsider travel, and this video says so. Every Level 4 area is left out, and so are Cali and Popayán. Colombia’s violence is concentrated in specific regions, and the places on this list are the parts where official homicide figures are a fraction of the national rate of 25.8. Prices use an exchange rate of 3,216 Colombian pesos to the US dollar.
