Ancient Rameshwar Temple Managuli | Vijayapura | ಪುರಾತನ ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಮನಗೂಳಿ | ವಿಜಯಪುರ | Bijapur | ಬಿಜಾಪುರ ಮನಗೂಳಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಚಾಳುಕ್ಯರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಗ್ರಹಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಿಳಿದುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಗೂಳಿಯನ್ನು 'ಮನಕವಳ್ಳಿ' , 'ಮಣಿಂಗವಳ್ಳಿ' ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ..ಊರ ಹನುಮಂತ ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ 1142 ರ ಜಗೇಕಮಲ್ಲನ ಆಡಳಿತಾವಧಿಯ ಈ ಶಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲುಕ್ಯ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯನ್ನು , ನೂರ್ಮಡಿ ತೈಲನನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕಲಿದೇವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಶಾಸನ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ..ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿರು ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ‌1165 ರ ಶಾಸನ ವಾಸುದೇವ ನಾಯಕ ಎಂಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವುದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. 1142 ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಶಾಸನ ವಡ್ಡಿವ್ಯವಹಾರಿ ಸೋವಿಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದನೆಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸುತ್ತದೆ..ಕಲಿದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರವೇ ಇವತ್ತಿನ ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಇತಿಹಾಸಕಾರರು ಅಂಬೋಣ. ದಾಳಿಕೋರರಿಂದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಕಮಾನುಗಳು ಕಟ್ಟಡವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ದೇವಾಲಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
