Arcana - A Visual Interpretation of David Hicken’s Music

ARCANA Composed and performed by David Hicken Visual interpretation by Viviana As an admirer of David Hicken and his music, I began this project to create visual companions to some of his beautiful compositions. These videos are not only a tribute to his work, but also a reflection of the places, stories, and images I imagine as I listen to his music. While sitting in my garden the other night, I looked up at the moon and decided to film it as I thought of Oscar Wilde's words: “With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?” Mind you, Oscar Wilde forgot to include music. With music added, happiness would surely be complete. In my opinion, Arcana is a deeply mysterious and atmospheric composition. Whenever I listen to it, I feel as though the music is drawing me into an almost hypnotic state, carrying me to the very threshold of nirvana. The moon, half-hidden behind the bushes, with its enigmatic light filtering through the leaves, and the clouds floating slowly across the night sky, seemed the perfect visual companions to the music. With gratitude to David Hicken for his music and for his kind permission to use it in this project. I am neither a computer expert nor a professional photographer or videographer. However, I am learning as I create, and each video, whether filmed by me or created with the help of AI, is made with sincerity, care, and a love of music. I simply want to bring music and imagery together in the hope of making life a little brighter. David Hicken's music does exactly that, and I truly hope you will enjoy these videos.
