This Birthday Card Deserved MORE Attention! 🌻 Mixed Media Gel Print & Embossing Techniques

I thought this birthday card deserved WAY more love! 🌻💛 What do you think? This colourful mixed media birthday card combines gel plate printing, stencilling, embossing, embossing glazes, stamping, mica sprays, and layered die cuts to create a miniature work of art. I started with a gel print using white and yellow acrylic paint and a halftone stencil, then built up the background with texture from a Swiss Dots embossing folder. From there, I stamped the detailed sunflower image in navy ink and added Distress Embossing Glazes in Chipped Sapphire and Vintage Photo for a unique distressed, dimensional effect. For the flowers, I skipped the traditional shading approach and instead used warm yellows, oranges, raspberry/maroon, and turquoise for an unexpected color combination. The final touches include mica spray, a dimensional matte embossed "Happy Birthday" sentiment, and a little pearlized bling. ✨ This is definitely not a traditional sunflower card—and that's exactly what I love about it!
