What if the only thing standing between you and the life God is calling you to live is your willingness to begin?
How many times have you felt that little nudge from God to do something, only to talk yourself out of it? Maybe you're waiting until life settles down, until you feel more qualified, or until you have the whole plan figured out.
Well, sister, what if NOW is the time?
This week, Meggan and Lindsay sit down with longtime friend Jamie Vessels for a beautiful conversation about faith, courage, and learning to show up before you feel ready.
Jamie (@jamie_betternowthannever) is a wife, a mom in a blended family of five, and a woman who knows a thing or two about navigating life's unexpected turns. From divorce and single motherhood to caring for a son with significant medical needs, her journey hasn't always been easy. But through it all, God has been teaching her, shaping her, and preparing her for something more.
Recently, Jamie felt prompted to start sharing her experiences and faith on social media. Not because she wanted to become an influencer, but because she realized that her story might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
And isn't that what influence is really about?
We're talking about the courage to follow God's promptings, why our stories matter, and how easy it is to get stuck waiting for someday. We also dig into the difference between consuming and creating, the power of small beginnings, and what happens when we finally stop telling God, "Maybe later."
Because here's the thing. You don't need a platform, a perfect life, or a polished message to make a difference. You just need to be willing.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why waiting until you're ready might be keeping you from becoming who God wants you to be
How Jamie's experiences with motherhood, divorce, caregiving, and healing have shaped her faith
Recognizing God's promptings and finding the courage to act on them
Why your everyday influence matters, even when nobody seems to notice
Using social media to share light instead of simply consuming content
How sharing our stories can help others feel seen, understood, and less alone
Why "better now than never" might be the mindset shift you need
Our Becoming Invitation
Stop waiting for someday.
Think about that thing God has been placing on your heart. You know the one. The idea, the prompting, the conversation, or the dream you've been putting off because you don't feel ready.
This week, write it down. Pray about it. Share it with someone you trust. And then take ONE small step.
You don't have to know how the whole story unfolds. You just have to be willing to let God help you write the next chapter.
Because your influence matters, your story matters, and there's no better time to start becoming than right now.
