SGV Locals Keep Walking Out With Whole Chickens

Loli Farms is a small Peruvian spot on California Blvd in Pasadena serving wood-fired rotisserie chicken. We got a whole chicken with two sides, beans and quinoa plus yucca fries, for $35, and it came out in about five minutes. Out of all the Peruvian chicken places we've tried, this one was the juiciest. Don't skip the sauces either: the green one sneaks up on you, and you can grab extra from the fridge. The owner uses Peruvian products, and you can taste the difference. Then we walked down the street to Pie 'n Burger, a Pasadena classic since 1963, for a slice of Dutch apple pie. It's cash only.
