Guangzhou Cultural Park on National Day: A Lantern Fair on the Old Trade Ground｜广州文化公园国庆夜：旧商馆区上的中秋灯会

Filmed on: October 1, 2026 Location: Guangzhou Cultural Park, Liwan District, Guangzhou, China Guangzhou Cultural Park stands on the site of the Qing dynasty Thirteen Factories, the trading quarter that made Guangzhou China's only port open to Western trade from 1757. The park opened in 1952, and its Mid-Autumn lantern fair — now in its 58th edition — runs from September 25 to October 7, lighting up every evening from 18:00 to 22:00 with 38 large lantern sets and hundreds of smaller lamps, themed around Lingnan's historic commercial culture. On National Day itself, the central stage hosted a song-and-dance performance, and the park was busy with locals and visitors marking the double festival.
