🔍 Automated, browser-based simulation workflow for performance analysis in maritime applications This video demonstrates the use of a integrated CFD tool within our cloud platform, developed to analyze and optimize ship propeller ducts. These ducts improve inflow conditions, helping to increase propulsion efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions. 🚢 Use Case Overview The CFD simulations are designed to optimize the ducted flow so that the ship propeller achieves maximum thrust with minimal propulsion power. The duct geometry, developed by our partner, improves fuel efficiency and reduces vibrations. ⚙️ Fully Automated Workflow ✅ Upload ship and duct geometry via web interface ✅ Enter operating parameters (e.g., propeller speed, ship velocity) ✅ Automated meshing and simulation in the cloud 🧪 Two Simulation Modes Available: • Steady-state MRF simulation – for quick performance prediction • Transient sliding mesh simulation – for detailed analysis of unsteady effects such as vibrations and force fluctuations 📊 Simulation Output Includes: • Key performance indicators (KPIs) • Flow visualizations (e.g., velocity fields, streamlines) • Downloadable result files 🔧 No advanced CFD expertise required – The tool is designed for use in engineering workflows where geometry-specific performance evaluation is needed. 💡 Workflows for other applications, for in-house use or as cloud tools: 👉 https://www.cfdtools.com
