Virtual Run 4K through the River Valley in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, one of the largest urban park systems in North America. An October sunrise run starting downtown at 7:10 am, still dark, with the sun coming up about 15 minutes in as I follow the North Saskatchewan River, with golden fall colors all along the trails. Steady, easy pace with real climbs in and out of the valley, great for treadmill hill workouts or long runs. Distance: 13 km Terrain: hilly, +279 m total elevation gain, river valley trails and paved paths Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes Pace: easy (5:42 min/km) Weather: clear, run starts at 7:10 am, sunrise about 15 minutes in Season: autumn, fall colors Filmed in 4K on GoPro Hero 13 Black (handheld grip) No music, real running sounds only (footsteps, breathing, birds, the city waking up) Note: the first minutes were filmed before sunrise, so the image is a bit shakier in the low light. From around 19:20 the light is good and the footage is smooth.
