Night track - Kelly and Rottie Deacon

Night tracking lessons last night were amazing! But photos on the iPhone are very hard to edit so I’ve used AI to create lightened images. Here are Kelly and Rottie Deacon. He just gets stronger at this and Kelly’s long line has let him get out ahead more. It shows what he can do! On the first trail Kelly had to move Deacon along past a chicken bone at the fence corner. You can see him pick up speed as he is ON and the goal here was easy hard surface along an edge (fencing) and the sidewalk at the building entrance was stone and brick with good cracks to hold scent. Thanks to runner Carly! We aimed for a cleaner start on trail two and Deacon had a good start. Hurray! At the left turn Carly went along the curb but hid up behind bushes on the high part of the boulevard. Deacon pulled Kelly up to the boulevard then went straight across to Carly, doing it his way! I felt very happy seeing his speed and confidence on both. As you can see from it was too dark to get good still shots of the second trail but the first was still in pretty good evening light. You have to admit he’s a pretty handsome boy in the AI rendering on Facebook 🤗
