Just a day after PLU supporters marched to the Turkish Embassy demanding Lumbuye’s deportation, the UPDF announced the immediate suspension of defence and military cooperation with Türkiye, pending resolution of outstanding issues.
Then Muhoozi turned up the heat even further, warning that “being an apologist for Turkey in Uganda is a crime” and saying arrests would begin against those speaking for Turkey.

They marched for Lumbuye.
Turkey refused.
The protest was mocked.
