Welthungerhilfe (WHH) ---------- From Learning to Impact… Women Driving Change in Afrin How can skills be transformed into initiatives, and knowledge into an impact that extends throughout the community? As part of the “One Community – Women’s Life” initiative, the Azar youth Team, with the support and supervision of SYCAC Organization, implemented a series of activities aimed at empowering women and strengthening social cohesion in Afrin through training sessions on conflict resolution and effective communication. Peer learning played a key role in the initiative, with four beneficiaries sharing the knowledge and skills they had acquired with dozens of other women. This experience highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange and expanding its impact within the community. The initiative culminated in a closing exhibition celebrating the participants’ achievements, cultural diversity, and local heritage through traditional performances that reflected the richness of the region’s cultural traditions and the spirit of community participation. This experience demonstrates how women can become active partners in building a more cohesive community, transforming the knowledge they gain into opportunities to inspire others and make a meaningful impact. Watch the video to discover how women in Afrin created an impact that goes beyond learning. This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
