The Lover and the Beloved (Viraha Bhakti): In Sant Kabir’s Nirguni tradition, human romantic or separation pain (viraha) is mirrored to represent the soul trapped in the material world, aching to reunite with its true master. Restlessness of the Mind: Lines like din nahi chain, ren nahi nindiya (no peace by day, no sleep by night) express the inner turmoil and emptiness a person feels when detached from spiritual consciousness. Devotional Surrender: The bhajan moves from personal grief and yearning to a surrender or invocation of grace (such as Kabir suno bhaai saadho, Hari peer dukh door kiya—listen sadhus, Hari has removed the pain). Folk and Classical Fusion: Often performed as a traditional Nirguni dadra or semi-classical piece, it bridges human emotion with high mystical philosophy, making the abstract concept of God feel intimate and personal. About the Seekers Sangat festival: As we stepped into 2026, we curated an intimate celebration of music, mindfulness, and meaningful connection - Seekers Sangat: A Mindfulness Festival. The festival (retreat) was held from 2nd to 4th January 2026 at the serene Bulbul Farm Retreat, Palpa, Nepal. This gathering brought together seekers, artists, and facilitators for an immersive experience in nature, silence, and soulful music. Through workshops on yoga, meditation, breathwork, art therapy, and heartfelt conversations, participants celebrated the new year consciously - away from noise and towards inner harmony. We were deeply honoured to have Mir Razak Ali (folk & sufi singer from Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan) as one of our featured musical artists, sharing his music and presence with our loving community. His art beautifully reflected the spirit of Seekers Sangat - one that inspires inner stillness, devotion, and joy through sound.
