In today's video, I wanted to run through the quest, Rebel's Cairn, featured in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This is quite the short mission, but it is chalk full of lore and action. Upon reading the text, The Legend of Red Eagle, the Dragonborn will be directed to Red Eagle's Redoubt. This is a location in the Reach and it's swarming with the Forsworn. Fighting your way through the Reachfolk and accessing Sundered Towers, the player battles against a Briar Heart and takes Red Eagle's Fury from them; the fiery blade that Faolan (Red Eagle) used in his day. From here, you enter Red Eagle's Tomb (Rebel's Cairn), put the sword into the weapons slot and advance into the final chamber. It's here that the Dragonborn takes on the Draugr version of Red Eagle. Defeating the Reachmen champion, you can take all the nearby treasures, including the new and improved Red Eagle's Bane. This blade now deals fire damage to undead, symbolizing an end to Red Eagle's legend. While the quest is quite the entertaining adventure, really it's the lore behind Red Eagle, and the Reachmen that stands out the most. It's the implications and history repeating itself that stands to question, should the Forsworn and the Reachfolk be trying to obtain independence through means other than violence and bloodshed? Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!
