I’m building a scale 17th century warship - Rideable Vasa #1

Going to the Vasa Museum (Vasamuseet). Getting ideas about sitting in their scale model, but unfortunately they dont allow this. So we make our own, or at least we make a proof of concept. This is the start of a long-term project to build a rideable, scratch-built 1:12 scale Vasa ship in my garage that I eventually intend to sail. In this first episode, I check out the real ship, head home to test the sizing with a 3D render in Blender, and declare the build officially open.
