Malachi Stone & The Pilgrims – Trumpet Before Dawn [Unreleased 1980 Album]Roots Reggae | Rastafari

Trumpet Before Dawn is an original fictional 1980 roots-reggae concept shaped around the tense hours before spiritual and social awakening. Heavy basslines move beneath spacious drums, warm organ bubbles and distant horn calls while dub echoes drift through the imagined recording like voices travelling across the hills before sunrise. Malachi Stone & The Pilgrims approach these ten songs as a journey from warning toward revelation. The trumpet sounds first, followed by prayer, resistance and ancestral memory as the people struggle against chains, injustice and suffering. By the closing meditation of Wisdom Under Fire, the darkness has become a test of knowledge itself—a reminder that truth must survive long enough to meet the morning. TRACKLIST 1.
