In 1984, poisoned candy began appearing on store shelves across Japan — each package carrying a typed warning. The sender signed his letters 'The Monster with 21 Faces.' For 17 months he kidnapped a company president, taunted police in the newspapers, and held Japan's food industry hostage. More than a million officers joined the hunt. Nobody was ever caught. This is the Glico–Morinaga case, told from Japanese sources — calmly, without graphic detail. In this video: • The kidnapping of Glico president Katsuhisa Ezaki — and his escape • How a single letter emptied candy shelves across Japan • The poisoned packages that were really found (and why none was ever eaten) • The Fox-Eyed Man: the suspect whose face everyone knew, and whose name nobody did • The final letter of August 12, 1985 — and why the case can never be prosecuted now Sources consulted include Japanese press archives and reference works on the Glico–Morinaga case (グリコ・森永事件). This channel clearly separates real cases from legends; this video covers a real, documented case. New files every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: unsolved cases, disappearances and dark history from Japan.
