30 days. That was the agreement I made with myself. For the first 30 days of In the Arena, the goal was not production. Not perfect audio. Not perfect visuals. Not the perfect setup. The goal was simple: Get it out. Be consistent. And now that I've hit that milestone, I'm allowing myself to think a little more about refinement without going back to the kind of perfectionism that stops the work from getting published. Funny enough, the most important piece of tech from those first 30 days wasn't my phone. It wasn't the microphone. It wasn't some expensive camera accessory. It was a baby mirror. I record with the rear camera on my phone, which means I can't see the screen. So I put a little mirror behind it. That mirror lets me see whether I'm framed correctly, whether the recording is running, how long I've been talking, and what's actually happening. One day I didn't have it and realized how dependent I had become on one simple thing: The ability to see where I was. And that became the bigger lesson. What is the mirror in the other areas of your life? What's the mirror for your finances? Your relationships? Your marriage? Your business? Your health? Your decisions? Sometimes the mirror is data. Sometimes it's a dashboard. Sometimes it's another person. Sometimes it's a mentor or advisor. Sometimes it's one conversation that gets you behind the curtain and shows you what you could not have known on your own. I experienced that today while researching options for a property I own. I had questions around refinancing, selling, valuation and what lenders actually care about. For a long time, some of it just felt like a dark cloud. Then I talked to people who actually work in that space. And suddenly I could see. Some things I thought mattered weren't as important. Other things mattered more than I realized. The strategy got clearer because the mirror got clearer. You don't know what you don't know. But sometimes the next move isn't to work harder. It's to find the thing that lets you see. The mirror makes it clear. This is In the Arena- building wealth and freedom in the real world and sharing the process as I go.
