Bach – Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 · played by falling balls on a pipe organ

The opening of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor — the complete Toccata, bars 1 to 30, every note. 🎹 Each ball holds its key down for exactly as long as the note sounds, and the pipe it plays lights up while it sings. Right hand on the upper keyboard, left hand on the lower, pedals on the floor with their own pipe towers. Music: Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) — Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 (public-domain composition). Score: The Mutopia Project — https://www.mutopiaproject.org (from the Bach-Gesellschaft edition, 1867; typesetting placed in the public domain). Organ sound and 3D animation made by LOOPOLIS — synthesised from scratch, no samples or commercial recordings used. Tempos, fermata lengths and ornaments are our own reading of the score.
