Build stronger glutes, improve balance, and develop better single-leg stability with this glute-focused yoga practice designed to strengthen the hips from multiple angles.
Through Bird Dog, Bridge, Airplane, Half Moon, Tree and more, we’ll train your glutes to do more than “burn” — we’ll teach them to stabilize, control movement, and support you on one leg. 🍑 Enjoy this 50-minute active practice + an extended final Savasana.
In this class, we’re focusing on single-leg stability: your glutes’ ability to stabilize the pelvis and hip while you balance, move, hinge and rotate.
We’ll begin on the floor with hip mobility and glute activation through Hip CARs, Bird Dog variations, Donkey Kicks, Fire Hydrants and Bridge work. From there, we’ll bring that activation into standing and progressively challenge the supporting hip through Knee Drives, Airplane (Dekasana), Warrior III, Half Moon and Tree.
Rather than simply holding balance poses, we’ll move in and out of them to explore strength, stability, coordination and control.

Each class focuses on a different aspect of glute function, so you can practice them individually or work your way through the full series.
And if you enjoy this style of practice, explore my other yoga series for strength, mobility, feel-good movement, back care, shoulder mobility and more.
No need to make it perfect. Grab your mat, work with the body you brought today, and let’s practice. 🧘🏻♀️🍑
