James Gunn’s DCU is doing things differently, but does its timeline actually make sense? From Superman and the Justice League to the Green Lantern Corps, DC is building a new superhero universe that feels different from the MCU and the old DCEU. But with heroes at very different stages of their lives, there are some interesting questions about how everything fits together. With Hal Jordan’s age sparking debate, questions about Barry Allen and Wally West, and Batman’s growing Bat-Family, the DCU has a lot of history to balance. DC’s legacy characters are one of its biggest strengths, but getting the ages, relationships, and generations right could make or break this new cinematic universe. So, does James Gunn have a DCU timeline problem, or could these changes make for some of DC’s best storytelling yet? From Superman’s role in inspiring other heroes to the future of Batman, Robin, and the Green Lanterns, let’s talk about what the DCU needs to get right as the new DC Universe continues to take shape. ==Timestamps== 0:00 - Intro 01:03 - DC Is Built On Legacy 02:21 - Why Gunns Approach Can Work 05:39 - Superman As The Catalyst 08:57 - Ages And Timeline Mess 09:43 - The Hal Jordan Age Debate 16:23 - Batman And The Bat Family 19:10 - Fixing Robin And Damian 22:36 - The Flash Legacy 26:56 - Making The Timeline Coherent 28:46 - Final Thoughts And Questions #comics #superheroes #marvelcomics #dccomics
