Welcome and Unwelcome Surprises at Lockerbie and Carlisle 23 08 25

Today's steam charter at Carlisle should have been the Cumbrian Coastal Express. The closure of Whitehaven tunnel meant that it had to be re-routed and renamed. The motive power was one of the pleasant surprises. The unusually late departure time from Carlisle - and the erratic behaviour of some of my equipment - were among the unwelcome surprises. However, it'd be a dull life if everything always went according to plan!
