Can You Really Run a Car on Cooking Oil?

Diesel just hit the highest price in American history. A gallon of cooking oil at the supermarket costs about the same. So can you actually pour it into your truck and drive? In this video, we dig into one of the strangest fuel stories ever: thieves stealing used fryer oil at night, a police unit in Wales that hunted drivers by smell, and a diesel engine that ran on peanut oil at the 1900 World's Fair, invented by a man who vanished at sea. You'll learn which engines can run on vegetable oil, which ones it will destroy, what really happens inside the cylinder, whether it actually saves money, and why the government could send you a bill for it. Modifying your vehicle's fuel system can damage your engine, void your warranty, and may break federal or state laws. Check with the EPA and your state before trying anything. #Diesel #CookingOil #Engineering
