Loddon & Ingloss 3.5 mile walk ( Official route ) Norwich, Norfolk🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Welcome to Hikeaholics ! Chay, Nutty Nanny and Lee here. Today, we are off to Loddon Town in Norfolk for a 3.5 Mile circular walk. We start and finish at the ‘village’ sign at the intersection of Beccles Road and High Street. There are public car parks on the High Street, Loddon, Norwich, Norfolk NR14 6AH. From the ‘village’ sign we head South towards and along High Bungay Road, towards the Loddon Bypass (A146). We cross pretty much straight over the A146 and we are onto Bungay Road. After only a few metres we turn off to the right onto Stubbs Green Lane. We follow this for a short while before turning left off the road onto a gravel track leading towards Stubbs House. As the gravel track veers to the left towards the house, we turn right onto the grass track leading to a gate onto Stubbs Green Common Land. We go through the gate and across the common towards the exit gate at the far side. There is a crossroads here, where we go straight onto Pound Lane. After a short while of heading towards Bush Farm we turn right following the marker signs into a field that we cross with the farm on our left side. We then cross over a muddy track and into the next field. We follow the path through this field alongside a fence and come out onto another track. We cross this track and go over a wooden footbridge and after entering the next field, we immediately turn right with the hedgerow on our right hand side. We follow the track along and turn left at the end of the field following the markers onto a grass track, which leads us out onto Ingloss Lane. Here, we turn right and follow the road. After about a quarter of a mile we turn right following the marker signs onto Roundabout Lane. We continue along before turning left, still on Roundabout Lane following the treeline. We carry on, ignoring the track to the left (Lodge Lane) and head straight on. We take the next left turn and head back towards the A146. After going through the hedge and crossing the A146, we go over a wooden footbridge and into the housing estate. We walk straight ahead and into Alfric Close, where at the end we veer to the left and down a footpath that leads out to Hobart High School. We cross over the road in front and walk down Kittens Lane with the school on our left side. At the T-Junction (all-ways are Kittens Lane) we turn right and head back towards our starting point.
