SPAWN OF THE COMET by Otis Adelbert Kline

Silently they came without warning, those fishermen of deep space who spread their net for man—living flying saucers they Earth must destroy—yet who multiplied by dying! (Synopsis edited from Fantastic Novels magazine) Originally published in the September 1930 issue of Argosy magazine. Re-published in the June 1951 issue of Fantastic Novels magazine, and in Other Life: An Anthology of Non-Terrestrial Biology, in 2016. Brief reader's note: The story begins with a forward by a character who tells it, so where you see Forward in the description's time markers, that's not from an editor or fellow author, but part of the story, so be sure not to skip it. I own no copyright to this work, only give it my voice. Read by Darrell T. Smith II for my channel Quasar Spectra. Support me with a contribution: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?busine...
