My Loyal Dog Gave Birth on the Mountain | Building a Warm Shelter & Caring for Her Puppies Welcoming a litter of tiny newborn puppies on Golden Ridge Farm filled my days with warmth & dedication as I worked to give my loyal mother dog & her fragile babies the safest home possible. Because she gave birth out in the rugged mountains, I spent my days sawing timber & building a sturdy, warm wooden shelter from scratch so the little family could rest protected from the cold wind & rain. Every morning & evening, I cooked warm, nutritious meals to help the exhausted mother dog recover her strength & produce plenty of milk while watching over her adorable puppies as they grew around the farmyard. Sadly, just as they were settling into their peaceful new home, our hearts were broken when cruel people harmed my beloved dogs, leaving a painful loss on the homestead. Welcome to Golden Ridge Farm!
