Lily the Pink - Edinburgh Shanty Co. at Frankenstein

A few weeks ago, one of our group brought the song Lily the Pink by The Scaffold (1968). Since then, we've all randomly been shouting MEDICINAL COMPOUND at each other, so when James stepped up to lead it again, I knew I had to capture it. (Yes, I missed the first twenty seconds or so.) Our shanty nights always follow the same format: in the first half, you are expertly guided through traditional or well-known sea songs and shanties, with the odd neo-shanty written by us thrown in. In the second half, anyone can request a song or attempt to teach one. There are no rules, really, beyond the ones all rational, kind humans already follow. We've had songs about trains, songs about medicinal compound, sea songs and non-sea songs...
