THE SECRET TO BREAKING SPIRITUAL LIMITATIONS AND RISING HIGHER | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

Breaking spiritual limitations through prayer, wisdom and surrender: Apostle Joshua Selman teaches how believers can grow in their capacity to serve Christ and reveal His glory. Rising higher is not only about personal recognition. What if growth means becoming more available for God's purposes and more useful to others? In “Greater Works, Part One,” this message examines John 14:12 and the believer's calling to bear witness to Jesus through a surrendered life. Three reasons support this calling: Jesus' promise, authority through Christ and access to the Holy Spirit. “Greater works” is explained through the wider reach of believers and their witness to reconciliation through Christ's death and resurrection—not competition with Jesus. Apostle Joshua Selman connects this calling with Habakkuk 2:14: the knowledge of God's glory filling the earth. Different believers serve in different ways, expressing His love, mercy, wisdom and creativity. The goal is to draw people to Christ, not build a reputation around spiritual gifts or ministry activity. Two themes shape the practical teaching: prayer and wisdom. Prayer is presented as partnership with God's purposes, extending beyond personal requests to families, communities and the work of the gospel. Wisdom involves applying spiritual knowledge and using Scripture to guide decisions and address real problems. Key lessons to reflect on: • Surrender personal ambition so that Christ, not self, remains central. • Develop consistent prayer rather than relying only on emergency requests. • Examine your motives and include the needs of others in intercession. • Test impressions against Scripture; a prayerful atmosphere does not make every thought divine guidance. • Learn from wise people and translate biblical understanding into sound decisions. Worship and a consistent routine can support prayer. The message warns against replacing personal responsibility with dependence on someone else's prayers: growth is an ongoing commitment, not a single experience. The recording includes worship, personal prayer ministry, an introduction to different kinds of wisdom, a salvation invitation and closing blessings. Retreat announcements and time-specific declarations belong to the original service. Prayers are not guarantees of wealth, health or protection; suffering should not be treated as proof of spiritual failure. Study the passages and choose a sustainable step toward a prayerful, Scripture-grounded life. Share this message and subscribe for more teachings.
