Antonio Vivaldi
1678 – 1741
Sol da te mio dolce amore
Aria from the opera “Orlando furioso” (RV 728)
Agnieszka Zińczuk, mezzo soprano
Wolfgang Kraemer, recorder (Flûte à bec)
Maria Wilgos, theorbo
The aria “Sol da te, mio dolce amore” comes from the opera Orlando furioso (RV 728), which premiered in Venice in 1727.
In this aria, Vivaldi combines lyrical beauty with a deeply evocative atmosphere. The flute weaves an almost ethereal dialogue with the voice, echoing and embellishing the vocal line while intertwining with the delicate textures. Together, its create a musical landscape of tenderness, intimacy, and luminous beauty.
Agnieszka Zińczuk has a background in vocal performance, acting, and choral conducting. Her experience spans opera, concert performances, and professional ensembles in Poland and abroad.
Maria Wilgos, one of the most distinctive young lutenists of her generation in Poland, shapes the harmonic foundation with sensitivity and depth, allowing the continuo to breathe and speak.
The ensemble is guided by Wolfgang Kraemer, a German/ New Zealand recorder player, who is also in charge of the Pettman National Junior Academy of Music and the Akaroa International Music Festival in New Zealand.
