The lovebird is eating soybean microgreens. These are just standard soybeans—small in size and light brown, resembling the color of bone or beach sand. These microgreens are about seven days old, counting from the time they were first planted in the tray. The process is simple: place high-quality whole soybeans in the tray, cover them with a mixture of soil and compost, and water them daily. To encourage taller sprouts, it is best to keep the tray covered initially to block out sunlight. Once the sprouts are four days old—or tall enough to push against the tray's lid—you can remove the cover and place the tray outside to expose them to sunlight.
There is also a soil-free method—using neither soil nor compost—which we have frequently used in the past. We have explained this in our earlier videos; please feel free to watch them on our channel if you are interested.
