Everyone says bodyweight training gets boring. Same push-ups, same pull-ups, week after week.
Boring? Boring is driving to a gym, sitting on a machine, doing 8 to 12 reps, then staring at your phone for three minutes. That is the boring part. Bodyweight only gets old because nobody ever
showed you how to play it.
I spent twenty years training at the top, then I traded all of it for bodyweight. Nothing but my own body. And I am not bored once. Here is the three-level game that makes that true.
Number 1: chase your reps.
Numbers are what make training fun and frustrating at the same time. Last month 10 pull-ups,
this month 11. When a number finally moves after weeks, you feel it. So stop just training. Set a
target and chase it. Write down what you did and beat it by one. That turns a routine into a
scoreboard.
Number 2: change the format, not the exercise.
You don't need new movements. You need new rules. The same five movements can run as a
circuit, back to back, chasing the clock. They can run as giant sets when you only have thirty
minutes. You can run an EMOM, every minute on the minute, or an AMRAP, as many rounds as
possible. Same body, same five things, but every format feels like a different workout. Boredom
was never the exercise. It was doing one format forever.
Number 3: switch your block, not your program.
Every eight weeks, change the goal. One block is just getting the reps up. The next is strength on the harder variation. The next adds a heavier angle. You are not starting over each time. You are
leveling up one small target after the next.
That is what I do, and it is why I built five levels into my
Momentum Program, each one its own block.
What you'll learn:
• Why bodyweight only feels boring and how to fix it
• How to chase reps so training feels like a scoreboard
• How circuits, giant sets, EMOMs and AMRAPs change the same five movements
• How to switch your training block every eight weeks without starting over
• How to set goals instead of just going through the motions
No gym, no commute, no machine. A bar, a set of parallettes, and the floor are enough.
