Some poets write about love. Some about loss. Jaun Elia writes could have written about anything — and nobody could have written it the way he did.
Jaun Elia Ji holds a place that is entirely his own. I am a fan not just of what he writes about, but of how he writes. Give him any subject, any emotion, any moment in life — and he will return something that nobody else could have thought of. That is Jaun Elia.
"Kitni Aish Se Rehte Honge" is a ghazal that catches you off guard. It is catchy, it is attractive, it is different — and it is genuinely difficult to put into music. When I sat down to compose it, I had no idea which direction it would go. But somewhere along the way, the guitar took over — the rhythm, the energy, the pattern — and it started feeling like rock. And it worked. It worked beautifully.
The shers in this ghazal are long, and fitting them into a fast-paced composition meant I could pack a lot of content into five or six minutes without it ever feeling rushed. The energy stayed high throughout, and the words — they aligned with that energy in a way I didn't expect but am very grateful for.
For the production on Suno AI, I went hard rock. Drums, electric guitars, rhythm guitar — all driving forward together. The humming that I added became the interlude and the intro guitar pattern as well. It is the most energetic thing I have done on this channel — extra energetic than everything else so far. But when a ghazal fits rock, it fits awesomely. That has been my experience every time I have tried it. And this one fits better than most.
The ghazal is eternal. So is Jaun Elia Ji. I hope this composition does them both some justice.
