There was once a time when almost all of Earth’s land was joined together.
Around 250 million years ago, the continents formed a single enormous supercontinent: Pangaea.
But what would it actually be like to walk across it?
The journey would take you through vast deserts, ancient forests, mountain ranges and landscapes unlike anything on Earth today. The farther inland you travelled, the more extreme the climate could become.
And the animals would be just as unfamiliar.
Long before modern ecosystems existed, strange reptiles, early dinosaurs and other creatures inhabited a world still recovering from the largest mass extinction in Earth’s history.
This documentary follows an imaginary journey across the ancient supercontinent to ask:
What if you walked across Pangaea?
