James Rae - 14 Studies in Duet Form - Organic Rock

Hello clarinet friends! ✨ Here you have Organic Rock, the whole duo. I’ve put together this series of videos to help you get the most out of James Rae’s 14 Studies in Duet form. For each of the 14 duets, you’ll find three videos: 🎧 the DUO – both voices together 🎵 FIRST VOICE – just the top part 🎶 SECOND VOICE – just the bottom part That way, you can practise your own part with just your voice playing, and then play along with the duo to hear how the harmony works. 🎼 A little about James Rae: James Rae was born in Tyneside (1957) and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is one of Europe’s most successful writers of educational wind music, with over 250 publications to his name, many of which are set on major exam syllabuses (ABRSM, Trinity...). What I really like about his writing is how naturally he blends real musical style with technical development – you really feel like you’re making music, not just doing exercises. His experience as a performer and teacher can be seen in his compositions. 📚 About these duets: This collection of original studies has been written to introduce clarinettists of intermediate or advanced ability to duet material composed in a wide spectrum of musical styles. Although the pieces are essentially duets, they can also be performed very effectively as unaccompanied solos without the support of Part 2. The studies include a wide range of features designed to develop both technical and musical skills.
