The 21-Verse Book That Almost Split the Church

The 21-verse book that almost split the early church — and the wound behind it that goes all the way back to two brothers fighting in the womb. This teaching walks through the book of Obadiah, why Edom (descended from Jacob's twin brother Esau) turned on Israel at the worst possible moment in 586 BC, and how that ancient betrayal ends up at the center of the Jerusalem Council's decision in Acts 15 — the moment that determined whether Gentiles would be welcomed into the church at all. You'll learn who Edom actually was and why Jacob and Esau's rivalry never really ended, what Edom did to Israel when Jerusalem fell and why the prophets never stopped being angry about it, what Obadiah 3–4 and Isaiah 14 have in common ("who will bring me down?"), what Amos 9:11 promises about Edom's restoration, and the remarkable Hebrew-to-Greek wordplay between "Edom" and "Adam" that James used in Acts 15 to settle the argument that could have divided the church forever. 📖 Full study guide The Brother in the Road https://yourbibleuncovered.substack.c...
