Jeff Exposed: He Sold Everything and Left the US

Jeff told me she was too perfect. So he left. I sat down with Jeff and Mileen for a Coffee Shop talk. Jeff is an American who sold everything, left the United States, and started over in the Philippines. He has condos in Cebu and a townhouse in Leyte with Mileen. He is not rich. After the sale he had a little pile of money, and he taught himself stock options by watching YouTube. He does not tell other people to do that. This is not a warning. This is Jeff's real story. He first wanted a vacation home so he could get away from the cold. The 2020 election pushed him to leave for good. Then a blood clot in Dumaguete scared him. Doctors told him to stay closer to a hospital. That is why he bought the condo he had been told not to buy. Mileen is the heart of this talk. Jeff met her in his second week in the Philippines. They spent five days together. He thought she was playing him because she was too nice. He left. Then he lost his phone between Cebu and Dumaguete, and he could not find her for more than a year. She does not believe the lost-phone story. She found him on Facebook while he was on a cruise and asked one question: are you married? They have been together about four years. The start was off and on. It is steady now. Mileen is 50. Jeff turns 70 on August 5. Her kids were already grown when they met, so the old talk about not dating a woman with children did not fit them. Her family is shy with him. The karaoke is loud, and Jeff only hears out of one ear. He does not like Filipino food. A Quarter Pounder is more his speed. Mileen runs a channel called The Filipino Life with an Expat.
