We Went Inside Vertical Aerospace’s New Aircraft Assembly Centre

We were invited inside Vertical Aerospace’s (NYSE: EVTL) new Aircraft Assembly Centre at Cotswold Airport, Kemble. We filmed the VX4 demonstration flight and spoke with CEO Stuart Simpson and chief test pilot Simon Davies about the move from prototype testing towards building Valo aircraft for certification. This on-site report also includes remarks from Bristol East MP Kerry McCarthy and Make UK’s Jim Davison on what the programme could mean for British aerospace and manufacturing. We look at what the new centre can do, what the flying VX4 has demonstrated, and the work still ahead before passengers can fly. ‪@verticalaerospace‬ expects to begin assembling its first certification-conforming Valo aircraft in late 2027 and is targeting type certification in 2029.
