*Good One + Thrash* GAL E279 on Bus Route DL8

First journey of the day, we take a journey on the DL8 between Upminster and Barking. Didn't know which end to start from so I checked YouTube videos done by other bus enthusiasts to see what direction people have done already so that I could film the reverse journey. But yeah, I was lucky to get this connection at Upminster as the driver was supposed to leave earlier. Not complaining. Got a really nice fast ride down to Barking. I don't know why but I thought it would have taken less time than it did. This definitely would be too long as an actual bus route if it had stops all along the route lol. I do really enjoy the roads this route travels down though. Most of them have higher speed limits and there's lots of greenery on them, too! I really wish we had more diesel GAL routes, more so Hornchurch and Upminster areas than the other end. This bus took a pretty interesting route between Dagenham East and Barking. Different to what I took on the return journey. We paralleled much of the 145 route, used one of the A13 junctions briefly and then went back on Longbridge Road to enter Barking Town Centre via 5/62/EL3 LOR. Personally I preferred the route taken on the return trip as it's just easier to navigate as there's less backroads. Definitely enjoyed my ride on this E. I hope the ones left at RR don't get withdrawn too soon so I can ride more of them. Already missed my opportunity to do so on the 104 and I don't wish to miss out getting them on more of their routes. Even intended on getting one on the 396 today but they were all headed Ilford way already when I was in Romford :/ Anyway, enough yap. Enjoy! SW* - Stockwell Bus Garage Thanks for watching!
