The Trains of Merseyrail (February 2024)

It's been quite some time since I've been out filming. But with the withdrawal of the Merseyrail 507s and 508s well underway, I thought I would take a trip out to film old and new. Special thanks to the driver of 777152 for acknowledging my 3 year old son as he said bye to the train. The 507s and 508s are sort of special to me in that I spent some of my late teens enjoying travelling on them with SaveAway tickets. They've also been my trusty transport to and from university and work. In the spirit of full disclosure, a couple of these shots were captured in the spare of the moment in November 2023; whilst the shot of 2G33 was captured at the start of April 2024. Although not affiliated with them... yet, I would like to mention the Class 507 Preservation Group. They have, at the time of writing, secured storage space for a class 507 (hopefully 507001) in preservation.
