Advanced Chinese HSK 5 Listening/Comprehensible Input/ Talk About The First Opium War

This is an important historical event that every Chinese student learns about at school. From China’s perspective, it is regarded as the first humiliating chapter in modern Chinese history. In adulthood, I’ve come to realize historical events are recorded differently across countries. Accounts of the same incident can be totally different, making it hard to know what really happened. So I’ll only be sharing what the average Chinese person knows, what I was taught at school. I wish I could travel back in time machines to witness it with my own eys, and then report back. given that I made it back alive. Now I can only talk about it based on what I have heard from all sources. I’d love to hear your take on this too, so feel free to share your perspective on everything I mention.
