Group C Racing Cars in Action at Imola Circuit- Nissan R90CK, Jaguar XJR-9, Porsche 962 & More!

The final round of the Le Mans Classic Series took place this weekend at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, where I spent the weekend filming the high-performance action trackside The Group C Racing category delivered a showcase of engineering focused strictly on aerodynamics, high-efficiency turbocharged powerplants, and ground-effect underbody designs Constructed around extremely stiff aluminium monocoques and carbon-fibre composite tubs, these prototypes utilize massive underbody venturi tunnels designed to generate incredible levels of ground-effect downforce that pulls the vehicle down to the asphalt as speeds increase The grid showcased an array of advanced propulsion units including the Porsche air-cooled and water-cooled flat-six single and twin-turbo units, massive high-torque Jaguar naturally aspirated V12 engines, and the highly efficient Nissan twin-turbo V8 configurations to mention some Fuel allocation and fuel flow management regulations strictly dictate the mechanical tuning of these powerplants, meaning teams had to carefully manage boost levels and ignition mapping via mechanical or early electronic fuel injection systems to optimize lap times without exhausting their race fuel allowance In the competitive action on track, the machines demonstrated immense braking performance using multi-piston calipers clamped onto heavy-duty ventilated steel or carbon discs as they decelerated heavily into technical sequences like the Tamburello and Acque Minerali chicanes Enjoy the video!!!
